Unforseen consequential damages due to massive DDoS #4
We have planned to move our equipment tomorrow evening (Friday from around 18:00 till late (CEST)).
It will cause some longer downtime until the equipment has been physically moved and connected.
We will also use the chance to perform various upgrades when things are down anyways.
We are sorry for the trouble, and hope we can see the end of the troubles and long downtimes as soon as the move has been done.
Please notice all servers will be shut down during the move, and when the move has been finished, you will need to restart your processes again or mail us and ask us to do so.

We suffered from around 3 hours downtime today due to emergency maintenance at our provider. The maintenance was supposed to cause only some shorter outages, but due to a human error, our network was unavailable during the entire maintenance window.
We currently plan to relocate our servers by the end of this week if the new hosting can be ready at that time.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to have everything up and running stable again within a few weeks.

Unforseen consequential damages due to massive DDoS #3
We have migrated to new IP addresses on shell2 some days ago.
Shell1 has been migrated tonight, which has caused some short outages over the evening.
The old IP addresses are still present on the server, but will be removed within some days.
You should reconfigure your software if it has static IP addresses provided.
The old 83.97.x.x IP addresses are no longer in use.

Unforseen consequential damages due to massive DDoS
Earlier this morning, around 6:30 CEST we suffered from a massive DDoS attack, what appears to be a DNS amplification attack. Due to the massiveness of the attack, our provider unfortunately took the action to shut us down and ask us to move elsewhere.
We are currently working on getting things back online, but there is no ETA yet, and some services might be available before others.
We also expect some instability issues and downtime related to this incident.
As we will need to migrate some services to different IP addresses, it will take quite some time, and some of you might need to update things on your end.
We will inform through our website what the status is.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have things up and running again as soon as possible.

DNS provider down *Edit 1*
Our DNS provider are currently suffering from what appears to be a DDoS attack causing our domain name zone eushells.com from being unavailable.
This might cause some problems for people accessing our website, shared bouncers and shell servers and more or less all services ending with eushells.com in the name.
We expect the problem to be resolved shortly.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Edit: Apparently it was planned maintenance, which we didnt know about.
Things are back up now, but short outages might occur for the next 4 hours, until 5AM CEST.
Please notice this does not directly affect our services and network connectivity.

Earlier today from 00:01 to 00:36 GMT+1 we suffered from a routing issue at our provider causing a complete disconnect from the internet.
The issue was solved as soon as possible by our provider when they became aware of the issue. Shortly after everything should be back up running normally again.
Power was not affected and all user processes should still be running.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

About an hour ago we suffered from some cooling problems in the data centre we are located which lead to power issues (heating problems).
The problem has been resolved on their end and we are currently booting the last few servers.
Please expect a bit longer before asking about missing connectivity.
Users with shells might need to restart their processes manually.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hosted mIRC beta information
We are currently adjusting various things regarding the Hosted mIRC beta clients. Amongst some of the changes we are limiting the amount of RAM a client can use. If the RAM usage runs over the limit, it will be automatically killed. We recommend that you enable autostart from our webinterface, so the bot will restart in case it gets killed.
We might adjust the limitations further in the upcoming days if we find the current change to be inadequate.
Some of you also experienced problems with minimized clients. Every 10th minute we will automatically check for such clients, and restore any minimized clients found.

Short network timeouts
Due to some network issues at our provider, we have had several dropouts in the network connectivity in the past week of time.
Our provider have replaced a core box in their network to resolve the issue, which have been affecting us.
It is likely a few more dropouts will occur while they adjust the remaining things, but after that, everything should run smooth again.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Some final changes related to the network maintenance a few days ago were performed roughly 30 minutes ago causing roughly 12 minutes of downtime.
They should be done for this time.

Due to faulty hardware at our provider, they will need to replace some faulty hardware this morning.
It will cause a few short network outtages for the time being.
They expect the outtages to be just a few minutes.
